Anyone got their IPOD working wth their car stereo? Im thnking of buying a kit but what is the sound quality like? Is CD much better?

I just use one of those cheap FM transmitter things that plugs straight into the headphone socket. Sounds ok but then im not an audiophile and all my speakers are standard so I dont really care so long as its bearable!

I have an Alpine head unit with a direct ipod kit - works really well. Sound wise its perfectly good enough for me. Unless your a real expert I dont think you would tell the difference between this and CD especially if you have standard speakers in the car.

Dont you get a hissy sound with your transmitter? - ive heard these pick up interferance??
